Shubhangi Kamat,

Shubhangi Kamat is one of the Co-founders, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Shalaka. She has a Master’s degree in Commerce, Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Post-graduate Diploma in Computer Science with 15 years experience in academics and industry. Shubhangi brings with her expertise in Operations, Finance and Human Resource Management. She has consulted for many Industrial Organizations offering advise in Systems Analysis, Statistical Data Analysis and in carrying out projects. She has hands-on experience in developing software in COBOL, Visual Basic, C on Windows platform and Web based applications in HTML and PHP.

Hemant Kamat,
Co-founder, Director and Chief Technology Officer

Hemant Kamat is one of the Co-founders, Directors and Chief Technology Officer at Shalaka. He has a Master’s degree in Industrial Electronics with 18 years experience in academics and industry. He has worked for Softcell Technologies, Mumbai, India as a Project Manager and with the Systems Engineering Group at PMC-Sierra Inc. USA in their Pune Development Center. Hemant brings with him expertise in complete SDLC in an ISO 9001 Company, Software Development, Web based applications development, Embedded Systems design and Systems Engineering. He has hands-on experience in developing software in C/C++, Visual Basic, Visual C++, Java, and PERL. TCL/Tk on Windows and Unix platforms, Hardware development using EDA tools and assembly language programming, Device Driver development for VxWorks, Web based applications development using HTML, DHTML, JSP, PHP, ASP, JavaScript, VBScript. He is a Member of IEEE (currently Senior Member) and IEEE Computer Society for last 20 years.

Vinayak Sadekar
General Manager

Vinayak Sadekar is responsible for the Mechanical Engineering Services at Shalaka. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Production Engineering from Mumbai University. He has 18 years of experience working at OEMs. Most recently, he was a Senior. Manager – Body Design, Automotive Sector, IDAM Center at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, India. He was responsible for Body design (BIW) of SUV Scorpio, productionising the latest model of Scorpio as an Assistant Project Leader for domestic & export market, prototyping the builds, validation, concern resolution. His earlier career assignments include Product Design at Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. as Assistant Manager, Press Tool Design Department, Tooling Division where he was responsible for press tool designs, Product Design at EDAG Engineering + Design AG, Germany where he was responsible for design of various automotive parts as a complete solution provider to major automobile companies world wide, process planning and making clamping plan for designing spot welding fixtures. His significant contribution was while working on Mercedes Benz project for making underbody complete of Classic and spot welding Fixture design to make Body shells, Tool Engineering at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., India. He has extensive experience in tool Engineering, Dies for sheet metal components, Concept testing and feasibility.

Shrikrishna Bhandare
Advisor

Shrikrishna has many years of experience in the high tech field, in Silicon Valley, from Embedded product development, to large eCommerce implementations, and enterprise IT infrastructure. Over the past 17 years, he has worked in the Telecom, eCommerce and Enterprise IT Software industries. Most recently, he was Software Architect and Program Manager at IBM helping customers, like McKinsey & Company, plan their next generation IT infrastructure. His responsibilities involved interfacing with CIOs and IT Directors and helping them realize their enterprise potential by planning their future IT infrastructure with respect to their changing business requirements.

Prior to IBM, Shrikrishna worked for a eCommerce software company BroadVision and was a consultant helping customers implement large eCommerce sites like www.hp.com, www.agilent.com, www.cardean.edu and others. When he left BroadVision he was the Director, Technology Alliances, helping partnerships with IBM, BEA, SUN, Oracle and others. Before BroadVision, Shrikrishna worked for Lucent, in the Silicon Valley, for a good 9 years of Voicemail, Embedded and CT product development in various leadership positions.

Shrikrishna has a BS in Electronics and Communications from Karnataka University, India, an MS in Computer Science from Villanova University and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Santa Clara University.

Ajay Deshpande
Advisor

Ajay brings with him more than fifteen years of experience in the software industry including four years at Bell Labs, Murray Hill, NJ. He has hands-on experience that includes systems software design/development using C++ and Java. He is instrumental in driving a team of architects and his technical contributions include design and development of:

• High transaction rate main memory Database.

• Helping build an XML message crunching appliance.

• Java/RMI based server software and Messaging Middleware.

• Eclipse based plug-in development.

• Event based data processing Java and C++ middleware.

• Cache coherence protocol for a multi-processor, shared disk architecture

Ajay is actively involved in defining and implementing organization-wide quality processes wherein his technical contributions include end to end system design, helping clients choose architectures/frameworks and system modeling for performance, scalability, etc.

Ajay has a Master’ s degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Karnatak University, India.

Ajay will advise Team Shalaka in areas of Software Engineering, Software Development processes implementation and technology roadmap definition.
